SEO Content Writer and Editor Position

We are looking for a qualified Content Writer to join our team. You will be responsible for creating, improving and maintaining content to achieve our client’s business goals.

Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with demonstrable creative writing skills. As a Content Writer, you should perform well under deadlines and be detail-oriented.  If you are also an expert in content optimization and brand consistency, we would like to meet you. We are a digital marketing agency specialized in Search Engine Optimization, so the Content Manager should be extremely knowledgeable on the best practices to optimize content. Ultimately, you will ensure our client’s web content is on brand and adds value to existing and potential customers.
This is a 1099 contract position so you will be able to work flexible hours, set your own schedule and work at your own pace from your home office. Training and support on digital marketing are provided and will be available to you if needed.

Compensation per project and type of document required. Rates will be presented when we will offer you the position. Compensation will potentially increase with the growth of the business.

This is a remote position so there are no requirement on your location.


  • Create and publish engaging content
  • Edit, proofread and improve content
  • Optimize content according to SEO
  • Write SEO optimized landing page copy
  • Review and update published content as needed
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout and to illustrate articles
  • Follow industry-related news and generate ideas around trending topics
  • Identify gaps in our content and recommend new topics
  • Work with the rest of the SEO team on keyword research and market trends
  • Address client queries effectively and in a timely manner
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practice to provide the best optimized content.

Requirements :

  • Proven work experience as a content writer and copywriter or similar role
  • A portfolio of published articles (recommended but not required)
  • Proficiency in Content Management Systems, like WordPress
  • Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
  • Knowledge of SEO guidelines, web traffic metrics and keyword research tools (e.g. Google Keyword Planner,  SEMRush, Google Analytics)
  • Editorial mindset with an ability to predict audience preferences
  • Solid writing and editing skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good analytical skills
  • Positive attitude, honest and reliable
  • Organized with good time management skills
  • Driven to succeed, high energy, self motivated and proactive
  • Be a strategic and creative thinker
  • Willing to learn from others
  • BS/BA degree in Journalism, Marketing or relevant field (or working toward a degree)
  • Having a home office or workspace with computer, internet and a phone
  • Availability on week-ends to have short team meetings at least once a month is preferred
